Every detail counts. From sleek lines to captivating textures, every element plays a crucial role in shaping the ambiance of a space. This recent project, designing a bar cupboard for a modern apartment in Kangaroo Point, exemplifies this philosophy.

I wanted to create a bar area that not only served its purpose but also became a focal point, keeping in touch with the glamour of the apartment.

The choice of material was pivotal in achieving this vision. I proposed Plex Argent by Laminex to the client—a textured metallic laminate that immediately captivates with its distinctive reflective qualities. This material not only introduces visual intrigue but also imbues the space with a sense of luxury. To enhance the ambiance further, we incorporated warm lighting into the shelves, creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere. Additionally, a dark mirrored splashback was installed to add depth and elegance, amplifying the sense of space in the compact apartment.

Complementing the shimmering allure of Plex Argent, we selected Cinder Woodmatt by Polytec, this matched in with the exisiting elements of the joinery fitout. This dark, rich and textured finish adds warmth and depth, striking a perfect balance with the metallic laminate.

The result? A modern bar, that seamlessly blends style and functionality.

Designing joinery is all about balancing aesthetics with functionality. I feel that by carefully selecting materials, incorporating thoughtful lighting, and paying attention to every detail, we've crafted a bar cupboard that not only fulfills the client's requirements but is also bound to leave a lasting impression!
