Less is often more

The client’s brief for this project was to balance out the mounting of the TV with a simple and minimal piece of joinery.

To centre the tv within the living room space the mounting had to be set very close to the entrance door. This mounting while practical, left quite a large negative space to the right of the TV.

This simple floating design lines up with the tv mounting on the left hand side and adds structure to the space.

Two push to open doors and a drawer allow for ample concealed storage and a simple flap door drops to reveal a space for electronics such as a dvd player.
